No, our classes are designed for students of all levels, including beginners.
We recommend wearing comfortable workout clothes, such as a t-shirt and athletic shorts or pants. If you have trained before and have a GI; Mondays and Tuesdays are Gi classes, while Thursday are no-Gi classes.
There is a 1 week free trial to start and we also have discounts for families! MMA classes are included in your BJJ membership. Boxing classes can be purchased without a BJJ membership, however BJJ members do get a discount.
There is no reason to wait! BJJ shape is different than regular in shape. Anyone at any fitness level will work their way into shape. Not only will you learn how to defend yourself but you will also get in great shape as you train.
Classes are only one hour to help make it easier to fit in your schedule and easier to absorb the technique. While BJJ classes are 3 days a week, you can also set up times to train with teammates at your convenience.
Absolutely NOT! BJJ is a great way for all ages to learn self-defense and get in shape. Jiu-Jitsu focuses on technique over speed and power, embrace the technique!
"you don't stop training jiu-jitsu when you get old, you get old when you stop training jiu-jitsu." ~ Helio Gracie
There are 3 things to look for in a good BJJ academy:
1. Structure. Does the school have a complete curriculum?
2. Safety. Does the school place the highest priority on the students safety?
3. Sanitation. Is the entire school super clean? how often do they sanatize the mat?
